Becoming a Valley Officer

Are you a current member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis who is interested in becoming a Valley Officer?

The Valley is always on the lookout for active and dedicated members to serve as line officers of the four Scottish Rite bodies.  Officers lead the Valley, and as such are expected to maintain a high level of involvement in Valley activities and engagement with our members, and to progress steadily in the expansion of their leadership abilities, before finally attaining a presiding officer position.

If you are interested in so serving, the first step is to download and fill out the Officer Screening Committee Application. This lets the Valley know you would like to get involved. Once you have completed the form, please email it to info@aasr-indy.org or turn it in at the Valley office.

Applicants will be given opportunities to serve the Valley in a variety of areas. (If you are already actively serving on a committee, or helping out backstage, or participating in degree work — or even all three — you’ve already got a foot in the door!)

The Officer Screening Committee (OSC) will meet annually to evaluate candidates for appointment to line officer positions based on their general qualifications as well as their level of involvement in Valley activities.
